Mrs. McSoreley's obituary: Mrs. Gertrude B. McSorley, 69, of 4037 N. Wheeling, died Thursday (April 10, 1980) at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong Kansas City resident. She was secretary for Sen. Harry Darby from 1946 to 1960 and was a switchboard operator for Dolgin's from 1960 until her retirement in 1974. Mrs. McSorley was a former member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella, St. Mary's Circle. She leaves a son, Larry McSorley; a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Larrieu; and three granddaughters, all of Kansas City. Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Butler's 18th Street Chapel and at 9:30 a.m. at the church; burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetary. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel, where the rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
